Each year, the Society for the Study of Childhood in the Past (SSCIP) holds a conference hosted by a member of the Society. The conference offers an annual opportunity for international members of the Society to meet up. It is run in different countries around the world, alternating each year between a European based location and one further afield.
The 18th Annual SSCIP Conference will be hosted by Sanna Lipkin and will take place from 10th – 12th June 2026 at the University of Oulu, Finland.
The conference theme is ‘Children, Emotions and Relations’. The Call for Papers (posters and podium) is now open – deadline 15th February. Registration will open in March 2026.
