Please see below for an update regarding the next Annual SSCIP conference, hosted by Dr Antony Colombo (École Pratique des Hautes Études)
We are pleased to announce that the call for abstracts for the 16th annual conference of the Society for the Study of Childhood in the Past, which will be held in Bordeaux (France) between November 20th – 23rd 2024, is now open.
The core theme of SSCIP2024 will be “interdisciplinarity” in terms of studying children and childhood in the past (in the broadest sense). We will, however, have sessions where the focus of papers is not just on interdisciplinary research. Further details regarding the themes the conference aims to cover, as well as key information relating to the conference schedule and registration fees, and the process for abstract submission, is accessible on the conference website: https://sscip2024.sciencesconf.org/
The abstract submission deadline is 31st July 2024.
To submit an abstract, please follow these instructions:
- You will have first to create an account: sscip2024 website > top right of the screen > login > create an account
- Once the account has been created you will be able to submit the abstract: sscip2024 website, left column “my space” > “my submissions” > “ + submit an abstract”
- Abstracts are limited to 300 words. Please be as specific as possible when choosing keywords as they will help us to gather the talks into coherent thematic sessions.
- Co-authors can be added in the second page during the submission process (after the abstract-related information page).
- On the third page, please upload a *.PDF or *.docx version of your abstract (with complete information).
- After the overview page, you will be able to submit. You should receive an email of confirmation from sscip2024@sciencesconf.org (if not, please check your spams folder).
- The Scientific Committee will review all submissions, and you will be notified if your paper has been accepted.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Bordeaux very soon!
With our best wishes,
The SSCIP2024 organization committee
